- The apparatus consists of an evaporating flask rotated by heavy duty motor in a heating water bath.
- Fitted with speed regulator for minor speed adjustments.
- Vacuum distillation of solvent at high and low temperature is achieved quickly and efficiently by use of a heavy duty motor, which prevents foaming and bumping of the liquid (solvent) into the evaporating flask and also distillation under controlled atmosphere.
- The evaporating flask is pear shaped to give a large surface area of evaporation.
- Evaporating flask is clamped to a glass duct which goes through the drive unit and protrudes about 120m.m. into the condenser.
- Condenser is fitted with standard joint at the top and the bottom for receiver flask.
- Unit is fitted with a quick action jack.

- Distillation unit incorporate an efficient condenser with a rotary flask system.
- Continuous rotation of the flask transfer a thin layer of liquid over the entire inner surface results in very large surface area for evaporation effected by heating from the water bath.

- Totally detachable bath vessel for easy and safe cleaning of the vessel.
- Platinum sensor for accurate sensing and controlling of the temperature in the bath.
- Hydraulic lift enables to lift the entire glass portion upto 5 inches in height.

Rotary Film Evaporator is essentially a thin evaporator. The rating flask continuously covers a large surface area with a thin film which is ideal for rapid heat transfer; fortuitously the film also ensures uniform heat distribution without local heating, the facility to work the unit under full vacuum further facilities evaporation at as low temperature as possible that is to say, bath point and residence time are significantly reduced, These features, combined, renders rotary film evaporated to be ideally suited for evaporation of heat sensitive material, it is equally suited for evaporation of heat sensitive material. It is equally successful for evaporation process, drying of powder/granules etc.
Construction and Automation
“MAC” ROTARY VACUUM EVAPORATOR are completely self contained units consisting mainly of:-

An electrically heated SS heating bath with facility for raising and lowering the height

Rotating flask of corrosion resistant borosilicate glass which is connected to drive by a coupling.

The drive is a hollow glass shaft which is also acts as vapour off-tale pipe. The drive shaft is sealed on condenser/receiver with Teflon seal. Power is transmitted to the shaft by a motor driven gear with provision speed.

Condenser/Receiver arrangements are of standard design depending on the model/size.
